All About Me
My name is Tina (a.k.a.. Art Chick) and I am a 40-something gal who has
always had a passion for the arts and anything creative. I love to
create mixed media, and oil painting, but I also dabble in watercolors
and other media, when the appropriate muse strikes. I doodle a lot -
especially while talking on the phone - and I also enjoy drawing,
digital art, and art journaling. I occasionally play with creating stained
glass and etched glass, and many other types of crafts. You may also
find me playing the shutterbug from time to time. I'm just wild like
that. I also am very passionate about genealogy and spend a lot of time sleuthing my way through my family tree.
I am also a wife, mom, and grandma. I got married two weeks after graduating high school (in 1984) and a year later had a daughter, Jennifer. She gave me two beautiful grandchildren: Dylan and Destiny. When I am not creating, or working, or studying, I am spending time with them. I was born in Virginia, lived in Alaska, California, Washington (my favorite place to live ever!), and Texas, before finally settling in Ohio, where I've been since 1987. My husband grew up here in northwest Ohio, so this is where we laid our roots.
I have a BS in Art Education, as well as a Masters in Education. I was an art educator for ten years, before leaving the profession to do some other things. But I do very much want to teach again, so we'll see where that path may lead. I'm also pursuing a second Master of Arts in Education degree, with a focus in Educational Technology. But as I study and keep on job hunting, I am content to be at home, hanging out with my family, blogging, and "playing" in my studio.

Well, you obviously know your way around a blog! Glad to have your creativity in this class! Also, I love how your voice shines through in your blog writing (all 3 of them)!
